摘要
To become a part of the foreign culture, the student exchanges or shares certain sociocultural knowledge and rules by, in the same time, perfecting his/hers communication skills. This is a process which includes also the functioning of the main characteristics of the conversation speech as a part of the contemporary language situation. With this regards it is significantly important for the students to develop certain skills allowing them to recognize these characteristics or, in other words - the examples of the different type of "specific" information in the foreign language, to be able to discover and interpret them. The phraseology of a particular language is a part of this "specific" information and its learning is traditionally difficult. The article looks at the problems in learning the phraseological units and introduces purposive survey questionnaires for foreign students. The analysis and the results of the surveys outline the typology of the main mistakes in using the Bulgarian phraseologisms where instructions and models for their overcoming are also included.
