摘要
Products of energy metabolism (fermentation and respiration) in yeast and their relationship to cell growth have been established in this study by determining the yield Y//p//x as a more sensitive method to define the kind of linkage between two metabolic processes. Since the productivity depends on each strain and on culture conditions, the experiments have been carried out in grande and petite strains of S. cerevisiae and in batch and continuous culture.
