THE CHARACTERISTICS OF TRAPPED WAVES IN THE SHELF ZONE OF THE SOUTH CRIMEAN COAST

According to the data of currents measurings in the shelf zone of the south Crimean coast space-time parameters of coastally trapped waves were received. The authors showed a connection of the parameters with the physical-geographical conditions of the observation region. A certain decrease of coastally trapped waves energy in the period from winter to summer as well as the changes of their structures caused by a seasonal thermocline were registered. It was shown that in the places where the relief was changes along the coast line the energy of oscillations increased due to multimodal scattering of the trapped waves.
