摘要：
The authors presented the problems of delirium in old age considering frequency of outcoming, clinical characteristics, etiology and the ways of prevention and treatment. They focused on the particularly frequent occurrence in hospitalized persons. The main predisposing factors to the pronouncement of this disturbance were mentioned and a review of diagnostic instruments which enabled early diagnosis was performed. The paper described medical procedures includingf the pharmacological and non-pharmacological factors.
