摘要：
Strict self-assembly of complementary dianionic and dicationic tetrahydrogen bond donors and accepters leading to infinite molecular chains in the solid state is achieved in aqueous solution using both directionally controlled hydrogen bonding and ion-pairing electrostatic interactions.
