ANOMALIES IN OPTICAL HARMONIC-GENERATION USING HIGH-INTENSITY LASER-RADIATION

摘要：
We observe experimentally and explain theoretically second- and third-harmonic generation from a cell containing xenon gas using a tightly focused laser beam with intensities of up to 4×1013 W/cm2. Both processes are forbidden according to standard lowest-order theories. © 1990 The American Physical Society.
