摘要
In a common way of thinking, the testicular development is controlled by several factors, hormones or local factors. These substances are involved in the development as well as the regulation of the function of the hypothalamo-hypophyso-testicular axis. Very particular testicular developments are noticed in the unilateral cryptorchid pig. An hypertrophy of the scrotal testis can be observed in the unilateral cryptorchid pig. A development of the ectopic testis can also be induced when the unilateral cryptorchid pig undergoes the orchidectomy of the scrotal testis. This paper clarifies the endocrine context which attends these developments.
