The geographical science has generated in recent years, discussions on the issue regarding the inserted content in textbooks of Geography. This article aims to establish a comparative analysis between teaching collections of Geography, used in the classroom, elementary school II, by the public of the state of Amazonas. According to the National Curriculum Parameters (PCN, 1998) the goal of Geography teaching is that students recognize that the geographic space is the result of interactions between nature and society, which is important for understanding the spatiality and temporality and the interactions of natural phenomena, recognizing the importance and its transformations. Professor of Geography should not only have the contents of the working area, it is essential to master the fundamentals of their discipline and learn to stand on the role of geography in today's society, you have a job offer, which contributes to development of learning and autonomy of their students. The use of textbooks is considered a very important support to Geography lessons, but should not be the sole source of information. It is necessary that the teacher seek other resources or teaching materials to support the production of knowledge
