摘要：
The observation of the earth from satellite is a privileged way of improving the knowledge of our planet as well as the management of its resources. The paper describes the operational systems which take pictures of the earth, using high or medium resolution optical instruments, or Radar instruments. The SPOT system is taken as an example for a detailed description of an earth observation system.
