摘要
We have studied two types of weighted-density approximation, namely the generalized hard-rod model and the Tarazona model, to determine the structure of a hard-sphere fluid confined to a spherical cage by a structureless hard wall. The density profiles predicted by the Tarazona model, even at the high density of rho(B) = 0.75, give results in very close agreement with Monte Carlo calculations and with the density functional model proposed by Rickayzen and Augousti, whereas results from the generalized hard-rod model are qualitatively different.
