This work is focused on numerical simulations of mixed convection stagnation point flow and heat transfer of Cu-water nanofluids impinging normally towards a shrinking sheet. Similarity transformation technique is adopted to obtain the selfsimilar ordinary differential equations and then solved numerically using symbolic software MATHEMATICA. The features of the flow and heat transfer characteristics for different values of the governing parameters are analyzed and discussed through graphs and tables. Both cases of assisting and opposing flows are considered. The physical aspects of the problem are highlighted and discussed. (C) 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
