Oxidative dehydrogenation of ethane over ternary Mo-V-Nb catalysts

摘要
The oxidative dehydrogenation of ethane over gamma-alumina supported catalysts at 633-773 K and 101 kPa showed that the best activities and selectivities for ethylene production were obtained over 7Mo:7V:1Nb, 7.6Mo:3.9V:1Nb and 6Mo:3V:1Nb samples. Reaction kinetics over the 6Mo:3V:1Nb catalyst indicated a 1st order dependency on C2H6 partial pressure and fractional order (ca. 0.1) on O-2 partial pressure. Ethylene and CO appeared to be the primary products of reaction. A mechanism involving the interaction of gas phase ethane with lattice oxygen to produce intermediates which are precursors for C2H4 and other partial oxidation products is proposed.
