摘要
The purpose of this study is to determine the business strategies and efficiency level of the luxury hotels in Turkey and to search for the relationship between the level of efficiency and strategies. The efficiency scores were obtained with data envelopment analysis. Input variables were payroll expenses, food and beverage expenses, other operating expenses, and the number of beds; total revenue was used as the output variable. To determine the strategies of the companies, Porter's strategy typology was used. To determine which strategy companies use, two scales were developed. The findings indicate that the luxury hotels in Turkey seem to be indecisive in applying a specific strategy.
