摘要
The article deals with questions of culture and multiculturalism as a subject of researches in many sciences. The definition of multicultural education is given. It tells about the process of foreign students' adaptation in the new social environment and finding out the control mechanisms of this process that enable optimization of foreign students' training. At the present stage of public education development the major factor is in internationalization. The trend of internationalization of education and international cooperation significantly increased in the last decade. This is due to the fact that not every country has the opportunity to have their own high-quality education. In this regard, it is important for Ukraine to preserve and enhance the prestige of its higher education not only for native, but also for foreign citizens. Ukrainian scientists suggest that multicultural education shouldn't be denied by the national one, but must be viewed together as components of a single process. In their opinion this combination promotes deep learning and understanding of both national and universal moral values. Multicultural competence is created to maintain the diversity of different nations in the context of the modern world globalization. It turns out to be a way of preservation and development of ethnic cultures, including their values in the practice of education and training, and thus the solution of actual problems of pedagogy. The interest of multicultural education appears due to extension of international cooperation, strengthening of ethnic and racial minorities fighting for their rights in multi-ethnic communities, etc.
