摘要
The dechlorination of pentachlorophenol (PCP) photosensitized by carbazole (Cz) has been studied. It is shown that 2,3,4,5,-tetrachlorophenol (TCP) is the main primary product. Prolonged irradiation results in the formation of trichlorophenols. The process is explained via a mechanism involving electron transfer from excited Ct to PCP.
