SPACE FREQUENCY-DEPENDENCE OF THE PARAMETERS OF INTERFERENCE MODULATION OF WIDE-BAND SOUND IN A SURFACE CHANNEL

摘要
The experimentally determined parameters of interference modulation are compared with the results of ray-tracing calculations in a surface channel. It is shown that the detailed structure of the depth profile of the sound velocity influences only the space scale of the ordered two-dimensional structures responsible (in summation) for the intensity distribution of wideband sound on the range-frequency plane. The influence of the coordinates of the source and reception stations on the interference modulation parameters is investigated. The measurement data are compared with the results of calculations. It is shown that the interference modulation parameters can be predicted on the basis of simple analytical models.
