THE TEACHERS OF BASIC EDUCATION AND ACCESS TO HIGHER EDUCATION

In this research, we discuss access to higher education by teachers who of early childhood education and early years of elementary school. The social theory of Pierre Bourdieu and Norbert Elias have enabled data analysis. The data analyzed were produced from the application of questionnaires in a class of Pedagogy and production of life stories. The findings point to a better understanding of the aspirations of teachers investigated and their families, have access to the higher degrees of education, as well as the place occupied by the public University and national plan for teacher training meanings assigned to the conquest of top-level training.
