EFFECT OF OPERATING-CONDITIONS ON THE WEAR OF WET PARTS IN SLURRY PUMPS

摘要
A detailed investigation was carried out on the conditions of use and service lives of wet parts of slurry pumps in typical fields of application. It was found that the design, size, performance, and selection of material of wet parts are not standard owing to different operating duty conditions resulting in different service lives of wet parts. It can be seen from the results that the main factors affecting the service life of wet parts are the hydraulic design and selection of the pump, application parameters, selection of material of wet parts and the conditions in the field. We present measures to improve the service life of slurry pumps on the basis of the above-mentioned investigation and analysis.
