摘要
The competitive success of SMEs depends in part on the proper management of human resources, and not giving them the value required is the main cause of failure of these companies. The effective management of human resources is mainly a managers' responsability. This research aims to establish a framework of study by defining the concept of "successful industrial SMEs" in Mexico and Spain, and identifying leadership styles and key human resource practices. The research methods include a documentary analysis and in depth interviews with experts in the field of human resources. This paper presents the main results with regard to these practices.
