摘要
An improved method for simultaneously determining the permeability k and porosity rp of tight rock samples (k < 10(-4) mu m(2)) using unsteady state liquid flow through porous media (pulse technique) has been developed. This method uses a history matching routine based on the method of variation of parameters for matching experimental data with simulated data (data generated by the computer program). A relationship between porosity and permeability has been developed which does not require initial guesses for porosity and permeability to run the iteration procedure. This method was applied to determine the permeability of three tight rocks at different confining pressures and the results are presented.
