Community Participation of Youth in Cuba for Social Development

This article examines community participation of Cuban young people in the social development, especially in Tortuga's community in La Palma, using the methodology of the research-action-participation. This article reads about community conceptions and community participation and its bond with the social development to achieve a greater prominence of the younger people in a process of all-embracing transformation of the community. The case study is an evidence of how much is necessary to do in the community for coordinating the principal institutions and organizations to achieve the younger people turn into active actors to face the social problems in the communities, this position could contribute to the improvement of the life quality.
