摘要：
Frequently, fear of crime is conceived as an indirect effect of crime. In doing so, the use of measures of criminal policy to reduce it make sense. Nevertheless, an analysis of the history of the concept shows that indirect effects of crime have been mistake for effects of ideas about crime. So, at least part of reduction of fear of crime just can come from changes in our ways of understanding social live.
