INFORMATION-SYSTEMS IN THE FIELD OF THE GERMAN STATUTORY PENSION INSURANCE

This article gives an overview about the application of computerized information systems in the field of the German statutory pension insurance. Current information systems store all relevant data concerning an insured person in the insurance account with the insurance number as main key. The data exchange between the single pension insurance institutions and with public administrations and other social security institutions is done electronically through the clearing centre of the German statutory pension insurance. A lot of innovation is expected by using office communication systems as well as file systems integrating business processes.
