摘要
This report contains a review on the derivation, impact and possible applications of enamel matrix proteins. A case report shows the application of enamel matrix proteins in the therapy of an intrabony defect. After scaling and root planing and optimising the oral plaque hygiene, the probing pocket depth and the radiological attachment level was improved with regenerative periodontal surgery and the application of enamel matrix proteins. Additionally, a short statement on the combined periodontal-orthodontic treatment with enamel matrix proteins is made.
