OBSERVATION OF THE PHOTOREFRACTIVE EFFECT IN VANADIUM-DOPED CDMNTE

摘要
We report observations of the photorefractive effect in vanadium-doped Cd0.55Mn0.45Te. The photorefractive response was observed in the red and near infrared, over the broad wavelength range of 0.633 to 1.32 mu m. The photorefractive effects were characterized at 0.75 mu m wavelength. We measure a grating formation time of 65 ms at an intensity of 20 mW/cm(2). A Gain coefficient of 5.6 cm(-1) was obtained with a 7 kV/cm ac electric field.
