摘要
The aims of this study were to examine the differences between the offensive game models in professional football. The main variables analysed were the goal type, the number of passes before the goal and the pitch zone where the team begin the goal game. To try to identified the specifics points of combinative model and direct model, data were collected from two teams from the Spanish La Liga, season 2012/2013, with high differences between his game models. A total of 264 goals were collected. In base of the results of this study, the goal is not a variable to identify and define the offensive game model in professional football.
