摘要
This article is a result of one fieldwork done between 2008 and 2010 to Gothic young persons from San Cristobal de Las Casas city, Chiapas, Mexico, whose aim was to describe which elements are significant for developing by and by such a dark identity. The approach to them was in concerts or at some places frequented by them. Some of the informants are graduated or students of the Intercultural University of Chiapas (Universidad Intercultural de Chiapas). The interviews were focused in knowing the motives they had to consider themselves just as dark beings and which were the elements that influenced this process qualified by them as a self-discovery.
