APPROXIMATE EFFECTIVE NONLINEAR COEFFICIENT OF 2ND-HARMONIC GENERATION IN KTIOPO4

摘要：
A simplified approximate expression for the effective nonlinear coefficient of type-II second-harmonic generation in KTiOPO4 was obtained by observing that the difference between the refractive indices n(x) and n(y) is 1 order of magnitude smaller than the difference between n(z) and n(y) (or n(x)). The agreement of this approximate equation with the true definition is good, with a maximum discrepancy of 4%.
