摘要
Body condition scoring is a method for indirect evaluation of nutrition in dairy herds. It is useful for both ''snapshots'' and for continuous monitoring of cows. The typical course of body condition is shown and targets for the development during lactation are presented. Indications from abnormal condition scores for inadequate nutrition management and the correlation of body condition to reproductive indices are discussed.
