摘要
A procedure of calculation of efficient conicity of the crystallizer of a continuous billet casting machine is developed. At efficient conicity, close contact of the ingot with the working wall is ensured and heat exchange is intensified over the entire height of the crystallizer. The choice of conicity should be carried out taking into account ingot shrinkage during solidification. In the suggested mathematical model, processes of shrinkage, solidification, and heat exchange are interrelated.
