TRADITION AND BREACH IN THE BUILDING OF THE LUSO-BRAZILIAN MANIFESTOS

This paper is about the reading of three important manifestos from the 20th century essay production, in which the linguistic renewal aspects are highlighted. That renewal is kept ahead, as well as the differences between man and the past identity, with the idea of denying the forms to plan the revolutionary future of art. The object of reading are these manifestos: Ultimatum (1917), by Alvaro de Campos; Ultimatum Futurista as geracoes portuguesas do Seculo XX (1917), by Almada-Negreiros and Manifesto da Poesia Pau-brasil (1924), by Oswald de Andrade.
