HELMHOLTZ RESONATOR MODEL FOR THE ABSORPTION OF HIGH-INTENSITY SOUND

摘要
A nonlinear Helmholtz resonator model is proposed. Simplified nonlinear hydrodynamic equations for a viscous incompressible fluid are used to describe the transient processes in the throat of the resonator. An equation is derived for nonlinear forced vibrations of the resonator. The frequency dependence of the sound absorption coefficient is calculated with allowance for Stokes friction, the influence of the boundary layer, and nonlinear effects. The results are compared with experimental data.
