摘要：
Technological advances in personal computing and telecommunications have reached a stage in their evolutionary development such that communication-based multimedia products and services are now commercially viable. This paper describes a RACE collaborative project that brought together these key technologies to develop a multimedia terminal for the finance sector. This was then trialled by the banking partners to obtain a first-hand insight to the practical benefits this application brings.
