Research on Application of Limited Partnership in Project Finance

Although limited partnership is one of the investment structures generally used in international project finance. Its application in project finance has been limited due to the complex financing structure. This article first studies the application model of limited partnership by analyzing its composition and characteristics. Then, the design of credit structure and capital structure based on the limited partnership is discussed in this article. And several legal issues needed to be paid attention in the application of limited partnership are pointed out. With project financing in a wide range of applications around the world, as well as the improvement of relevant laws and regulations, it is concluded that limited partnership can be applied to wider range of situation.
