摘要
148 of 216 multiresistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolates from 69 patients in different intensive care units of a large university hospital were clonally related as indicated by pulsed-field gel electrophoresis and PCR fingerprinting. Thirty-five of 69 patients were infected or colonized with this epidemic subtype which exhibited resistance to imipenem, gentamicin, piperacillin, azlocillin, aztreonam, and ceftazidime. The minimal inhibitory concentration for imipenem was 16 mg/l (8-32 mg/l). The epidemic subtype was of serotype O11 and phage type 1214/col 18/col 21+.
