摘要
The goal of achieving quality in education demanded the change of educational model in Superior Education Institutions. This change was promoted through instructional policies that tried to ensure appropriate professional conditions in order to guarantee excellence in teaching. In this context, Instituto Politectico Nacional designed a certification course of instruction and actualization for the teachers since 2003, with which it is hoped to build a new academic culture and a better teaching. The objective of this research was to analyze the impact of this certification course in the teacher's everyday work. Empirical evidence suggests that despite the academic personnel possess, in the record, a high degree of formation and actualization, this has not reached the teacher's core conceptions about how to think about education and perform in class. They still continue to teach the way their own practical experience has taught them.
