CULTURE SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AND PRODUCTION CITY PRIVATE UNIVERSITIES MARACAIBO IN ZULIA STATE

The research was conducted in order to explain the relationship between culture of research and scientific production and research faculty in graduate programs in private universities in the Maracaibo municipality in Zulia state. From the theoretical point of view the investigation was based on the assumptions of these authors: Escobar (2006), Lopez, Montenegro y Tapia (2005), Leal (2009), Vieytes (2004), Martinez (2009), Morin (2001), Bunge y Sacristan (2003), among others. The study is established under the positivist epistemological foundation, and type explanatory correlational design with a non-experimental, cross-sectional area. The sample consisted of 234 subjects, between teacher trainers and participants. For data collection, we applied an instrument called BRAP of 36 items, which was submitted to discriminant validity through the trial of 7 experts and its reliability was measured using Cronbach alpha coefficient, which was to faculty facilitators (0.91) and participants (0.89). The results found that: the research subjects have difficulty putting into action knowledge, skills against some process of research to refute baseless established theories of science and scientific interpretations are difficult to establish to establish their own criteria, do not have willingness to break paradigms, also established the Pearson correlation r = 0.89 which represents a high positive relationship between the variables, also established theoretical-practical actions to encourage the culture of research and scientific production. Finally it is recommended to disseminate the results of this research at the universities under study in order that they can be applied the necessary corrections to the weaknesses found and reinforce their strengths, so as to optimize the development of a culture of research and production science.
