摘要
The structure of the hydrophilic part of cationic and anionic surfactants, the type of counterion, and the size of the hydrocarbon chain are examined in relation to their influence on the critical concentration for rearrangement of spherical micelles into nonspherical (CMC//2) in aqueous solutions. It is shown that considerably lower values of CMC//2 are observed when the hydrophilic part of the surfactant contains proton-donor groups such as N-H or O-H. When the length of the aliphatic radical of the surfactant is reduced by two methylene groups, CMC//2 decreases by a factor of 1. 4-3. 9.
