摘要
In this paper, an accurate analytical type solution for the free vibration of clamped rectangular plates with line support along the diagonals, corner-to-corner, is developed by the superposition method. A modification of line support, as established earlier, is used and convergence tests are carried out. Computed eigenvalues for the first four free vibration modes of plates with a wide range of plate geometries are tabulated and contour plots for mode shapes are presented for some typical plates. This represents, to the authors‗ knowledge, the first comprehensive study of this problem. © 1994 Academic Press Limited.
