Computer-aided calibration: Asking the right questions

Computer-aided calibration systems have been introduced to automatically execute calibration procedures and collect test and calibration data to significantly improve productivity. Some suppliers offer only hardware such as calibrators and simulators that can communicate with a software package. Some software houses offer universal calibration packages which can communicate with a wide variety of calibrators, or none. Hardware manufacturers usually offer complete packages consisting of a calibrator and proprietary software.
