An adiabatic-section method is described for examining the liquid distribution between the core of the flow and the wall film in dispersed annular flow for a two-phase vapor-liquid stream in a heated channel. The method has been tested on standard results on the liquid distributions in tubes with uniform heat deposition along them. Experiments have been performed on the liquid distribution between core and wall film in a tube and in an annular channel with external heat deposition and flow spiraling.
