Analysis of Entropy Generation in MHD Stagnation-Point Flow in Porous Media with Heat Transfer

摘要
In the present study, the combination of differential transform method (DTM) and Pade approximant, called DTM-Pade, is employed to investigate entropy generation in magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) stagnation-point flow with heat transfer in a porous medium. An entropy generation equation is derived as a function of velocity and temperature gradients. A very good agreement is observed between some of the obtained results of the current study and those of the shooting method results. The results are given to survey the effect of various parameters like magnetic interaction number, Brinkman number, Reynolds number, and Hartmann number on the entropy generation rate and Bejan number. In addition, the rates of two irreversibility mechanisms are investigated for each of the involved parameters.
