THE PREPARATION, CHARACTERIZATION AND PHYSICAL-PROPERTIES OF SBCL5-DOPED POLYACETYLENE

摘要
Trans-polyacetylene has been doped with SbCl//5 to molar concentrations varying between y equals 0. 005 and y equals 0. 12. Physical characterization was accomplished by employing **1**3C solid-state MAS n. m. r. , dc conductivity, i. r. and **1**2**1Sb Moessbauer spectroscopy; all experiments being performed on a unique sample of the appropriate concentration. The results demonstrate two distinct concentration regions. For samples with y less than 0. 05, the conductivity increases with increasing y; **1**2**1Sb Moessbauer spectroscopy unequivocally demonstrates only the presence of SbCl//3. The charge transfer counterion is concluded to the Cl** minus , since the presence of Sb( plus 5) (SbCl//5, SbCl//6** minus , Sb//2Cl//1//0** minus ) as well as of SbCl//4** minus can be ruled out.
