摘要
Addressing deficiencies in the statistical analysis of British casualties in Iraq and Afghanistan, Sheila Bird and Clive Fairweather present new analysis on the role of improvised explosive devices in the insurgent's strategy. Assessing data on casualties by cause of death and nationality, this article suggests that the Taliban are placing increasing faith in methods of indirect attack.
