摘要
The kinetics of the sensitizing effect of chlorine c6 and its derivatives on light-induced damage to Escherichia coli and Bacillus subtilis cells were studied. The efficiency of photoinactivation of E. coli in the presence of chlorines was 100-200 times less than with B. subtilis. The structural organization of the cell wall is proposed to play a significant role in the penetration of tetrapyrrole pigments and their binding within cells. Natural tetrapyrrole pigments, and a number of tetrapyrrole-metal complexes, can sensitize cells to light-induced damage in different biological systems [10. 14]. including bacteria systems [7].
