MODEL OF DIDACTIC UNIT AND LEARNING STRATEGIES FOR TEACHING ENGLISH THROUGH CONTENT

摘要
A model of curriculum design has to establish the basis of a correct definition of concepts such as: Objectives, Content and Procedures. From the Contextual-Cognitive Paradigm and following the Task-Based Approach through contents, the concepts mentioned above are exemplified in a Work Unit for Primary. In such a Unit, objectives are defined as skills and values and they constitute the aims of learning, content (what to learn) would be the instrument through which we achieve those aims, procedures (how to learn) are also instruments to get to those objectives. On the other hand, learning strategies are based on giving pupils different ways of how to redo concrete schemes from general conceptual schemes, considered relevant from a critical and creative perspective. Several examples of conceptual maps are shown in order to go more deeply into certain concepts.
