HIGH-TEMPERATURE BURN-UP OF A HOMOGENEOUS COMBUSTIBLE GAS-MIXTURE FROM AN INSTANTANEOUS HEAT-SOURCE

摘要
The high-temperature burn-up problem is studied for an instantaneous heat source inside a combustible gas mixture. Three geometric forms of the heat source are considered: point, straight line, and plane. The appropriate burn-up equation is derived in each case and a simple analytical procedure is given to predict the high-temperature burn-up of a homogeneous combustible gas mixture. The results obtained apply to a high-temperature burn-up in the deterium-tritium mixture.
