摘要
Polymerization of methyl methacrylate initiated by acetylcyclohexylsulfonyl peroxide was studied in comparison with polymerization catalyzed by benzoyl or lauroyl peroxides, dicyclohexylperoxydicarbonate, and AIBN. The rate constants and activation energies for initiation and chain transfer to initiator and monomer were evaluated. It was shown that the process of polymerization proceeds at a higher rate, goes to completion faster, and gives polymers having smaller molecular mass than in the case of common initiators. Data on the thermal stability and glass transition temperature of the prepared polymer were obtained.
