摘要
In this paper, a meshless computational method by using the radial basis function as a spatial approximant for modeling the shear flow of a Johnson-Segalman fluid is developed. Using both explicit and implicit finite difference schemes for the time derivative, the numerical simulation accurately matches with the real experimental measurement of the non-Newtonian "spurt" phenomenon observed in the shear flow through a slit-die.
