A NON-FORMAL EDUCATION IN A RELIGIOUS ARTS WEAVERY, ANALYZED FROM THE FEMINIST PERSPECTIVE

摘要
This paper is part of research that was carried out between 2009 and 2010 in a weaving workshop located in Alvorada, RS, analyzing the teachings of the Assembly of God, which were communicated in the daily life by "Cotton weaver" a believer of the Church. We identified how "Cotton weaver" transmitted teachings about femininity in the weaving space and what the implications were in the daily weaving. The research was based on the methodology of participant observation and interviews with audio and video recordings, notes in a field diary and photographs. Our analysis was carried out based on pedagogical and feminine studies, and detailed observation of all collected material. The teachings of this church about women were transmitted through biblical words, prayers, informal conversations, and especially during devotions. This leadership was a space built by "Cotton weaver" and was different then her presence in the church, where it is for women to show discretion and obedience. Quietly and out of the Church, (which excludes women and puts them "below" males), "Cotton weaver" produced a place to exercise pastoral leadership, creating an educational space through non -formal teaching. That is, a 'discreet' insurgency.
